It's hard to imagine that the Fiber Fair has been around 18 years, since my sweetheart started it. That would place the 1st one about 1990. Funny how time just keeps on going on. I've been on local radio for over 25 years now, I suspect, and living in the same house for 28 years - longer than I lived in any other house in my life. I didn't mean to become permanent -- or to move on - it just happened.

The Fiber Fair is going on tomorrow, as well, if you are a fiber fan unaware of the fair, but reading this blog. It could happen. I met two readers at the fair today. I took some pictures which I'll retrieve from my camera in a minute and see if they are postable. I was there selling my camera so I can buy a new, upgraded, Olympus for the upcoming cruises. Twenty power optical zoom. No more of these weak 18 power zoon pictures for me. And more pixels per picture. Possibly 10 megapixels? We'll see.
You read this while I go get the camera. Meet you back here in a few minutes. Ok, I'm back now. Just put one picture above us.
If you know what these things are, you'll really like the Fiber Fair

Lots of knitters come to the fair. Here's a booth of yarn waiting for them. This is a natural for photographers, colorful, don't you see?

If you mash a bunch of fibers together you get felt (this may not be techincally correct). Here's a felt cat.

Some of the fiber workers are quite dedicated. There are workshops all day at the fair, and these workshopers are dyeing yarn. Only its started to rain. And they are still out there.

Lots of great things to see.

Ok, I'm off to dinner. See you later.
