I had to drive from Yreka to Willits today, and I did it by taking I-5 to Route 20, which I missed, so to Route 16, and coming up the Cache Creek Canyon. En route I made a few photo stops.
I call this one Once Upon a Time in the West

That's Mount Shasta between the trucks, and Shastina peak to the right.
And this one is the answer to how they sneak it across the border

Sorry 'bout the pun, but my mind just works like that.
And finally a flowering shrub which is widespread near Cache Creek, and probably looks like a useless weed most of the year.

Actually, Shastina is part of Shasta on the left. That is Black Butte on the right.
